Requirements

Must be an ARBA and SDRBA member, and must have a sponsor who is an SDRBA member, but not parents.

Include a letter of recommendation. 5 points.

Copy of SDRBA and ARBA membership cards. 5 points.

Two showmanship sheets that are dated, signed by a show sponsor, and list show location. Don't have to be South Dakota shows. 20 points, 10 per sheet.

Two judging sheets that are dated, signed by a show sponsor, and list show location. Don't have to be South Dakota shows. 20 points, 10 per sheet.

Two breed ID sheets that are dated, signed by a show sponsor, and list show location. Don't have to be South Dakota shows. 20 points, 10 per sheet.

Show Reports and Comment Cards, must be dated and can be from Open, Youth, or a 4-H show. No more than 3 each, and no less than 1 each. 10 points.

In your own words write an essay about your rabbits. Tell us what breeds you raise; what you've accomplished in the past year that you're proud of; what your goals are for the upcoming year. Add some pictures to your story. 25 points. Essay is 15 points, and pictures are 10 points. Lengths:

Pre-Juniors: 100-150 words.

Juniors: 175-250 words.

Seniors: 275-500 words.

Achievement: To acknowledge outstanding achievement and leadership. This is measured by active involvement in organizations such as local clubs, state clubs, and national organizations. Assisting with shows and helping where age appropriate to include achievements in breeding and raising rabbits and cavies. This could cover winning a class or breed at nationals, or working on a new variety or breed. Anything on a state or national level that you have participated in, provide letters and/or pictures from these organizations or copies of you work for proof of involvement. 25 points.

Neatness: Your report should be in a binder or a folder so it stays organized and neat. The binder or folder should be in the order listed above. This is where you would lose points for not following the order. 15 points.
